One of the most acclaimed artists to emerge from postwar Asia, Takashi Murakami—“the Warhol of Japan”—is known for his contemporary Pop synthesis of fine art and popular culture, particularly his use of a boldly graphic and colorful anime and manga cartoon style. Murakami is a prolific print maker, typically producing high quality offset lithographs in a signed edition of 300, or rarer silkscreens typically from an edition of 100. His prints remain well priced, relative to other blue chip artists, and offer an attractive entry-level price point for collectors or aspiring collectors of his work.
