Photogravure monoprint with chine collé. This unique impression is printed in blue-black ink on sheer silk, mounted to white Somerset paper.
The artist’s process blends 21st and 19th C. technologies. The artist created the image using a computer as a drawing tool and the image was printed onto desktop printer paper. He then photographed the print with a 4×5 film camera, turning the focus to blur the image. The 19th C. technique of photogravure was used to etch the copper plate from which this impression was printed.
