This work is one of two of his latest editions on paper (CT-Universe 1 and 2). In cooperation with the artist, we are publishing them exclusively and limited to just 40 copies each.
Universe is the title of the works. They have energy and it really does seem as if cosmic scenes or universes are opening up before our eyes. The two works are part of Schönauer’s series of ‘CT pictures’, for which the artist became known. In this series, he works with a specially developed technique and color mixture that allows the color to flow in a special way.
Both works are pendants. If you hang them as a diptych, you can clearly see their connection: the works show deviations, but also correspondences, such as in the coloring and in the structure and dynamics of their visual language.
