This Ai Weiwei glass vase is a terrific opportunity to own an iconic piece by one of the world’s great artists.
The vase is a prolific motif in Ai’s work. Ai Weiwei’s Coca Cola vase being a prime example.
Inspired by Duchamp Ai Weiwei began working on Ancient Urns and Vases. Most famously Dropping a Han Dynasty Urn (1995). The piece is a photographic triptych of Ai dropping a priceless 2,000-year-old urn, what Ai called a ‘cultural readymade’.
