Serena Perrone (b. St. Louis, MO) is a dual US/Italian citizen currently based between Atlanta Georgia and Sicily. She received her M.F.A. from the Rhode Island School of Design and is Assistant Professor of Printmaking (Tenure-Track) at Georgia State University. Her work is included in numerous permanent collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, and Philadelphia Museum of Art. She has received grants from Idea Capital, the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, and was nominated for the prestigious Pew Fellowship in Philadelphia in 2017. She has done residencies at C.R.E.T.A. Rome, the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica Venice, and the Vermont Studio Center. Notable solo exhibitions include Spring/Break Art Fair in New York, Cade Tompkins Projects, the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis and the Print Center in Philadelphia. She is the Founder and Director of Officina Stamperia del Notaio, an international artists’ residency program and printmaking studio in Sicily. Her work is represented by Cade Tompkins Projects in Providence, Rhode Island. She was honored to undertake a Co-Publication Residency at Flatbed Center for Contemporary Printmaking in 2023, creating a set of lithographs that will make their debut in this exhibition.
