A refined observation, especially of the light through the window on the façade. Heinrich Hansen was the first Danish architectural painter, as well as vice-Director of the Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. In 1859 he was appointed Knight of the Order of the Dannebrog and a State Councillor (a largely honorary title with a few privileges) in 1871. Over the years, he worked on restoration projects at Rosenborg castle and represented both its exterior and interiors from different perspectives.
