The Artist

Fritz Aigner

Austrian graphic artist and painter. From 1947 to 1952 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and in 1952 he was awarded its top state prize. He was nicknamed “the Rembrandt of Linz” for his dark, Surrealistic self-portraits.
