Nara’s work reflects his childhood, where he spent a lot of his time alone with only his imagination, comic books and family pets. As a result there are multiple images of seemingly innocent, wide-eyed children and dogs in attempts to capture the sense of boredom and frustration he felt as a child. His images have a childlike simplicity about them juxtaposed by the scenes his figures find themselves in, frequently irritated and angry, but also vulnerable and sad.
This work is sold unframed in pristine condition, with no apparent condition issues.
