During 1920 the League of Nations was created, Prohibition started in the US with the passing of the 18th Amendment to the Constitution, the 19th Amendment was also being passed giving women the right to vote. The Olympic flag made its debut in the Antwerp (Belgium ) Games and Charles Ponzi was convicted (the first Ponzi scheme). Agatha Christie published her first novel “The Mysterious Affair at Styles” and Naziism was effectively born with Adolf Hitler giving a speech at the German Workers’ Party in Munich. It also took 45 days to fly from London to South Africa!
