Provinz is one of the leading publishers of contemporary editions, prints and multiples with offices in Bochum and Berlin. Since its founding in Bochum in 2011, over 100 original editions have been published in cooperation with well-known artists and excellent craftsmen. These include personalities such as Gerhard Richter, Kai Althoff, Judith Hopf, Friederike Feldmann, Olaf Holzapfel and many more. The editions are published in small editions at moderate prices and can be ordered online. A special feature of the program are the numerous unique series that Provinz also offers exclusively. Under the title and motto of Provinz "Everyone should be able to acquire art", the Kunsthalle Recklinghausen, which has been the venue for the renowned "junger westen" art prize since 1945, honored the publisher's program with an extensive exhibition. The two directors Vera Gliem and Stephan Strsembski are particularly concerned with the mediation of art. They regularly present their new publications in their showroom in Bochum and at different locations in collaboration with various institutions and project spaces, as well as at trade fairs, the E/AB Fair New York City, the Berlin fair Friends with Books or Art Cologne.

Provinz Editions can be found in numerous international museum and private collections, e.g. the MoMA NYC, the Lenbachhaus Munich, the SMAK Gent, the Israel Museum Jerusalem, the Museum Ludwig in Cologne, the Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin, the art collection of the Deutsche Bundesbank, the collection of the European Central Bank and the Mobiliar in Bern.
