Meet The Printer – Highpoint Editions (IFPDA)
Highpoint Editions is the publishing arm of Highpoint Center for Printmaking, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Since 2001, Master Printer & Founder Cole Rogers and the Highpoint printing staff have been collaborating with visiting artists to create contemporary print editions and projects. Highpoint specializes in multiple traditional printmaking methods including intaglio, lithography, relief, & screenprinting. Highpoint is known for encouraging artists to experiment and stretch the boundaries of their artistic practice.
Founded in 2001 by Cole Rogers (Artistic Director and Master Printer) and Carla McGrath (Executive Director), Highpoint Center for Printmaking is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to advancing the art of printmaking. Highpoint’s areas of focus are to provide education and community programs, access for local artists through its printshop cooperative, a public gallery, and collaborative publishing opportunities through Highpoint Editions and its visiting artist program. All of these program areas are designed to engage the public and increase the appreciation and understanding of the printmaking arts.
Highpoint Center for Printmaking is the only one of its kind in the region that provides broad public access to a professional printmaking workshop. Highpoint Editions was established in 2004 to form a clear identity for work made with visiting artists in collaboration with Cole Rogers and Highpoint’s professional workshop.
Since its inception, Highpoint has published editions with Willie Cole, Sarah Crowner, Jim Hodges, Julie Mehretu, Todd Norsten, David Rathman, Aaron Spangler, and more. Highpoint Editions can be found in numerous public and private collections including the Museum of Modern Art (New York), the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Walker Art Center, Minneapolis Institute of Arts, and many others. Highpoint Editions has been a member of the IFPDA (International Fine Print Dealers Association) since 2015.
